Inactive accounts and closing your account

In shortWant to close your account? Message us: we settle anything pending and return your balance to a bank account verified in your name. Separately, if an account sees no activity for 6 months, we email you, and you get a month to keep it open before it closes. Either way, your money always comes back to you.

You close it

  • Message us and say so
  • We settle anything pending
  • Your balance returns to a bank account verified in your name
or

It goes inactive

  • 6 months with no activity: we email you
  • One month to make a transaction or confirm you're staying
  • Otherwise it closes, balance returned the same verified way

Closing your account yourself. Just message us and say so. We keep this deliberately low-friction, because a customer who wants to leave shouldn't have to struggle to do it. We'll check nothing's still in progress (payments in progress, open disputes), and if you've got a balance left, we return it to a bank account in your name. For that, we ask for a bank statement or account confirmation letter showing the account is yours. That one document is what makes sure your money can only travel back to you and nobody else. Holding only crypto? Then the return happens in crypto: you give us a wallet address for the remaining balance, plus proof that the wallet is yours, and we send it there. Once everything's settled, the account closes and we confirm it.

Inactive accounts. If your account neither sends nor receives anything for 6 months, it gets flagged as inactive, and we email you to ask whether you want to keep it. From that email, you have one month: make a transaction or confirm you're staying, and nothing changes at all. Do neither, and the account closes, with any remaining balance returned through the same verified-account process above.

The line worth remembering from this whole article: your money never vanishes into a closure. It comes back to you, every time.
