Verifying your company

In shortThe company verifies, and so does every key person: whoever applies, the directors, and anyone owning 25% or more. All the checks run at the same time.

Business verification covers more ground than a personal one, because it verifies people as well as paperwork. It takes longer by design.

Who has to verify:

  • Whoever is applying.
  • Every director.
  • Anyone who owns 25% or more of the company.
Everyone verifies in parallel, so nobody waits on anybody. Get all of them started at once rather than one after another; that is the difference between days and weeks.

In the app, the beneficiaries screen is where you register each person, as an owner, director, shareholder or representative, with their ownership share from 1 to 100%. A sole trader is one owner at 100%.

RoleWhat it means
Owner (UBO)Ultimately owns or controls the company
DirectorLegally responsible for running it
ShareholderHolds shares in it
RepresentativeActs for the company without owning it

Enter every detail exactly as it appears on the document. A mismatch is the most common reason a check needs a second look.
