Taking payment from customers

In shortCustomers pay you by scanning your QR code, or you find them by email or username. They choose cash or crypto; you see the payment land.

A business on Ortix can be paid by any Ortix customer directly, without a card network in the middle.

  1. Show the customer your QR code.
  2. If the code will not scan, find the customer by email address or username instead.
  3. The customer checks the amount and who they are paying on their own screen.
  4. They choose whether to pay from a cash balance or a crypto one.
  5. They confirm, and the payment lands.
There is no guest checkout. A customer paying you needs an Ortix account with money in it, so a first-time payer signs up and tops up first.

Whichever way the customer pays, you are credited to your company balance.
