When your company ownership changes
In shortA new director or a change in who owns the company means re-verification, not just a record update. Tell us early and expect it to take longer than a profile edit.
A change in who owns or controls the company is not a profile edit. It means verifying the business and its new owners again, so it takes longer than changing an email address.
Tell us when any of these change:
- A director joins or leaves.
- Anyone starts or stops owning 25% or more.
- Control of the company moves for any other reason.
We will ask for documents evidencing the change, such as updated registry records or a shareholder resolution. Records are updated once the re-verification is finished, not before.
An Admin should raise this. A change of this significance needs someone with full account control behind it, so a View only or Initiate team member should not be the one reporting it alone.
This is standard for any business account anywhere, and it is not a comment on your company. Telling us early is the thing that keeps it short.
