Adding money to your account

In shortTwo ways in today: a bank transfer to your account details, or a crypto deposit to your wallet address. Card top-ups are coming. Accounts keep a minimum balance of 35 USD or the equivalent.

Once you're verified, pick whichever suits the moment. A third, card top-up, is on its way:

  • Bank transfer. Give the sender your Ortix account details, your IBAN or account number plus BIC, or send from your own bank the same way.
  • Card top-up, coming soon. Funding straight from a card, including through Apple Pay and Google Pay, is being set up and is not available yet. Bank transfer and crypto deposit both work today.
  • Crypto deposit. Send supported crypto to your Ortix wallet address. Check the minimums first.

For a bank deposit, the app does the hard part: choose Receive to bank account and it hands you the exact details to send to, the bank name, account number, and account holder, ready to copy. While an incoming deposit is being confirmed, it shows on your home screen under Pending deposits, so you always know it's on its way.

On Ramp: a wire that arrives as crypto

The third option on the Receive picker. It has its own account details, separate from your normal ones. A wire sent to them converts one for one into USDC and lands in your crypto balance, with a notification when it does.

Same action as any wire, different details, and the money arrives as crypto rather than cash.

You now have two sets of USD details, so give a sender exactly one. Your normal details to arrive as cash, the On Ramp details only when the money should arrive as crypto. Handing over the wrong set is the easiest way to have money land somewhere you did not expect.

Your normal details panel carries the full set including the bank address, which some sending banks need exactly as shown.
