I think I have been scammed

In shortFreeze your card, message us now, and do not send anything else. Bank payments can sometimes be recalled; crypto sends cannot. The sooner we know, the more we can do.

If you think money has gone somewhere it should not have, or you have shared a code with someone, act now and read the rest afterwards.

  1. Freeze your card from the Cards screen if a card is involved. It takes one tap and stops any further spend.
  2. Message us straight away through live chat in the app. Tell us what happened, what you sent, and to where. We can see your account and act on it.
  3. Do not send anything else. A scammer who has had one payment will ask for another, usually with a reason that sounds urgent.
  4. Change what they might have. If you shared a code or your passcode, we will help you reset it and sign out every other device.

What can and cannot be recovered

What was sentWhat happens
A bank transferWe can raise a recall. The receiving bank decides, and it is a request, not a guarantee. Faster is better.
A card paymentYou can dispute it from Profile, then Security. Fraud disputes get priority.
CryptoA confirmed send cannot be undone by anyone, including us. We will still want to know, and we can freeze the account against further loss.
We will never call you and ask for a code. If someone claiming to be Ortix is on the phone right now asking for your passcode, an email code, or your authenticator code, hang up. That is the scam.

If you have lost money, report it to the police in your country as well. Some banks and insurers need a police reference.
