We will never ask for your codes

In shortNobody from Ortix will ever ask for your email code, your authenticator code, or your passcode. Not in chat, not by email, not on the phone, not ever. The moment anyone asks for a code, you know it's not Ortix.

Memorize one rule and most scams stop working on you:

Ortix never asks for your codes. Not your email sign-in code. Not your authenticator code. Not your app passcode. Not "to verify you," not "to fix an urgent problem," not "just this once." When we need to confirm it's you, we use identity details. Never your codes, because those exist so that only you can use them, and a genuine Ortix agent has exactly zero use for them.

So the test is simple. Someone asks you to read out or type a code? However official they sound, whatever name is on the caller ID, however urgent it feels: not Ortix. Hang up, close the chat, and message us through the app, where you know it's really us.

One related situation: a login code email you never asked for. That usually means someone typed your email address, by mistake or on purpose. On its own the code is useless, it's only one of your three layers, so you can safely ignore it. If they keep coming, tell us and change nothing in a hurry.

The rule stretches further, too: we'll never call you and tell you to move money, to "protect" your funds by sending them somewhere, or to install software. Urgency is the scammer's favorite tool. A real message from us never needs you to rush.
