Why Ortix has no password

In shortThere's no password to remember, and nothing for anyone else to guess. Your account is protected by three layers instead: a fresh email code each sign-in, your authenticator app, and a 6-digit passcode (or Face ID) that unlocks the app.

Passwords get reused, guessed, and exposed. So we don't use one. Your account has three separate locks instead:

  • The email code. Every sign-in starts with a fresh 6-digit code sent to your email. It works once, then it expires.
  • The authenticator code. A second code from the authenticator app you set up. Even someone inside your email can't get past this one.
  • The app passcode. A 6-digit code you chose yourself. It unlocks the app on your phone, like your lock screen, and if you turn on Face ID or fingerprint, the passcode simply becomes your backup.

Three locks sounds like more to forget, but here's the trick: each one has its own reset path, so losing one never locks you out for good.

The rule that matters: Ortix will never ask you for any of these codes. Not in chat, not by email, not by phone. Anyone who asks isn't Ortix.
