Creating your account

In shortYou sign up with your email and confirm it with a 6-digit code. Then you set up an authenticator app and a 6-digit passcode, pick your profile type, accept the terms, and verify your identity. A few minutes, start to finish.

Your details

Your details Name and basics, then straight into identity verification.

You need to be at least 18 to open an Ortix account. The app shows you the checklist up front, and here's the whole journey:

  1. Enter your email. We send a 6-digit code to prove it's really yours. Not there? Check spam. You can ask for a fresh code after a minute, and too many wrong tries pauses things briefly before you can request a new one.
  2. Set up two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, or type the setup key in by hand, then enter the code it shows. That confirms it's working.
  3. Set a 6-digit passcode. This is what unlocks the app on your phone day to day, and you can switch on Face ID or fingerprint so the passcode becomes your backup.
  4. Choose your notifications. Turn on push alerts to stay up to date, or tap Not now. Entirely optional.
  5. Pick your profile type. Individual for personal use, or Organization for a company. Individual accounts are for personal use; business activity belongs in an Organization account. Sole trader? Choose Organization, even though it's just you.
  6. Accept the terms. You'll need to scroll to the bottom first. We record exactly which version you accepted and when, which protects you as much as us.
  7. Enter your details and verify your identity.

One honest heads-up: you can sign in right away, but your accounts and crypto wallets only appear once your identity check is approved. If the app looks a little empty at first, that's why, and for most people it clears quickly.
